Finally made it out! My first proper sail in what feels like ages. 8.0m blasting is all very well but it's not the real thing is it?

Headed down to Wittering first thing where we spent half-an-hour or so watching the surfers enjoying themselves and regretting not bringing our own surfing kit. The wind was light and almost worth it but as it was off-shore & currents are strong there, we figured it wasn't such a top idea.

Then had a call from someone checking out Pagham where it was starting to look good. Quite good waves coming in and the sand-bar was helping to create some superb ramps.

So that was it, rigged up the 5.7, squeezed into the new wetsuit and headed out. Struggled alot waterstarting what with odd currents and waves from all sorts of weird directions but when up and running it was excellent if a tad scary.

Good day out and well stoked to get out there more this winter.

[P.S. the new Spartan wetsuit was superb]
